- One of the best books I ever bought. I love hip hop and photography. This breaks down a lot of the classic photos seen in magazines and albums. Also, the book comes in a bigger than normal size which makes you want to pick up if seen just laying on a table.
- I got this book yesterday. I spent the entire day reading through the whole thing, studying every picture enamored. This book is modestly priced for its value, as it has a lot of valuable content. I learned things I never knew about. Interviews with the photographers were in-depth and intriguing. Even if you aren't all that interested in the stories, the photos speak for themselves and its great to flip through the pages and soak in the culture and how it had changed over the years. Highly recommend to anyone who grew up with or appreciates hip hop culture and even to those who might just be interested in studying photography.
- This is just a great book. The pictures and stories give a great history lesson for newcomers, and a great book for memories for true hip hop/rap fans from the older generation of people from the beginning of hip hop to current.
Stop contemplating and just buy it! You will not regret, guaranteed - I bought two of those and I need to buy more. They are beautiful books full of amazing stories and photography. Any hip hop head needs one - the back stories are very cool and the images and contact sheet images are great. Can’t say enough good things about this book.
